volunteers will be engaged in one of the following activities:
- Promotion of voluntary service, both national and international, following the organisation, development, management and follow-up of workcamp projects;
- Participate in the activities of the Environmental Education Centre of Legambiente, by assisting our staff in the educational visits organised by the association, and during the summer camps organised for children;
- Development of other existing projects linked to "day-to-day ecology", to sustainable mobility and to the fight against pollution. Volunteers will be able to contribute to the organisation of new initiatives linked, for example, to energy saving, critical consume and communication of "eco" lifestyles;
- Management and development of the Associations' websites, planned by the volunteers themselves. Based on personal experience they will also able to participate in the creation of the associations' magazines, flyers for the manifestations and in films and multimedia projections;
- Maintain green areas like parks or natural protected areas, with tasks such as cleaning mowing the grass, water in plants, raking leaves, and involving as well the promotion of such areas y organising guided visits, studying visit paths and making signals and rest areas for visitors;
- Cooperate in projects for the development and promotion of organic agriculture in the regional territory;
- Participate in the restoration and promotion of "minor" cultural assets valorised by the association, with tasks such as the opening and guardianship of monuments, doing guided visits in Italian, English or in their own language; elaboration of information sheets for visitors or even guides for tourists in different languages, etc;
- Participate in the different initiatives of the ROOTS project (explained above);
- Volunteers will also be actively involved in taking care of some regular office work. Posted by: Ivan
