Our current project is focusing on awareness raising on conscious consumption, environmental education, sharing information and inspiring stories in monthly newsletters, visiting farmers/producers, supporting healthy living, create visual presentations (videos, photos) on our farmer partners and about 'how to do it yourself', broadcasting similar associations and networks. In Szatyor we have around 25 local volunteers supporting the programs and development of the organisation. We would like that EVS volunteers hosted could learn from us and in the same time share with us and exchange knowledge and experiences and cultural diversities on environmental issues.
Tasks
- Supporting producers' introductions and thematic lectures on farming, organic directions - Taking part in creative planning and implementing in practical workshops for improving practical skills such as sewing, making home-made cosmetics, up-cycling unused materials for household use etc - Decorating our common room and inner garden in our Association - Visiting and organising visits to local farmers/producers close to Budapest - Editing and designing and taking care of the content of the webpage/Facebook page of Szatyor Association - Helping in administrative work of the Association - Introducing and promoting the idea of 'up-cycling' objects, materials etc - Making visual documentations of our partner producers and the programs of Szatyor Association (around 20 producers) - Writing translations, interpretations, making visibility, a virtual connection with other associations - Assisting and participating on training, public discussion organised by the Association - Initiating her/his own project with in connection with green living in Budapest - The volunteer can also be included in the Association's work and have the possibility to join other projects Posted by: activeideas
