Project description
Aizputes region youth house “IDEJU MĀJA” is looking for 2 volunteers from age 18 till 26, male and female, with interests in youth work, music, photo, video, non-formal education, self-development and are open to new ideas to create, work together and explore new opportunities. Volunteers will be able to organize events and workshops for local youth groups, help us to organize bigger events, organize language studies, work and help in music studio, participate in photo and video workshops. Daily tasks will include team meetings, preparation for workshops and events, planning activities, daily youth house activities (board games, discussions, cooking with youngsters etc.) and youth house popularization in local community.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation, food and transport are covered by the project. The volunteer will receive food and pocket money which is calculated by the European Commission and the National Agency. The volunteer will have a separate bedroom and will share the bathroom and kitchen with other volunteer.
Training during the project
Volunteer will participate in first day training in youth house and will join two trainings organized by National Agency on -arrival and mid-term training.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER WHO: • are from EU countries • are between 18 and 26 years old • are interested in work with young adults, teenagers and kids • are able to work individually and in teams • is able to take initiative • is creative and interested in music, non- formal education, photo and video • has intermediate English level • is willing to spend a year in rural area
