The project is the multicultural platform to promote social inclusion and active citizenship on national and European level.
The volunteers will organise activities for children and youth, present their countries in Intercultural workshops for youth and children, set up information campaign on migration and active citizenship issues. The awareness raising information campaign will be implemented through the combination of information materials distribution, presentations, and cooperation with local media.
The volunteers will have a role of physical contribution (survey within community, web site development, other practical activity) and social (bringing alternative ideas about European community cohesion to contribute towards a more open and involved local community). They will support sustainable development of local community of migrants through the activities of the organisation.
Tasks
The tasks and activities will reflect individual ability and interests of volunteers. The volunteers will be involved in the following: European awareness events The volunteers will be involved in preparation material (posters, leaflets, PowerPoint presentation, etc.) for Diversity Days/Weeks at local schools. The Volunteers will be involved in relevant activities Organised by other organisations (in local libraries, museum, neighbourhood offices). Youth club Organising childrens' activities, games, local visits Organisation of educational workshops with themes to help children and young people to integrate into local community Planning and being responsible for various sports, activities, shows and educational games to promote cultural diversity and community cohesion. Family Support Programme One-to-one support and individual assistance of young people if needed (for example, to accompany a migrant who does not speak English during a meeting in public agency such as local council, social service or school). Preparation of e-newsletter for migrants on different social inclusion topics.
Procedure
