1) To promote the emancipation from social marginalization through: - the enlargement and diversification of the opportunities of meeting, comparison and socialization; - the offer of a qualified support attentive to the interpersonal relationships, also through the enlargement of present acquaintances; - the valorization of free time activities, times and spaces (also through the organization of specific events able to meet the receivers' needs), as an opportunity of social and cultural growth for both the individual and the group; - interventions and guide actions that can promote the participation of the minors to the instruction programs as well as to the work opportunities in the territory; - activities aimed at promoting the minors' autonomy to enjoy the urban framework and the many services of the territory (both public and private, the main ones but also the recreational ones);
2) To offer the young volunteers the opportunity to live a qualifying experience that can change not just the framework in which they are acting, but also their own culture and attitude. Following this logic, a particular attention will be given (during the training, the daily guide activities and the evaluation) to the development: - Of a new social sensitivity, careful and receptive to the needs of the most vulnerable individuals and to both individual and universal matters; - Of an active citizenship (which should be necessarily contextualized within the actual process in a community level for the definition of a constitution and a new European citizenship) to be translated into a concrete engagement; - Of a solidarity culture that can become a way of life, offer choices and qualify everyday life also after the conclusion of the twelve months' project.
3) To improve the participation of the territorial community in the emerging needs of the specific framework, valorizing its role of main changing factor and fundamental social actor in the territory. 4) This objective implies, in particular, the definition of dialogic relationships able to encourage the meeting and mutual knowledge between the different original cultures and the culture in which these wish to be inserted. The project will offer the volunteer the opportunity to learn on different levels. The specific learning could vary according to the activities and therefore the volunteer will be able to obtain a greater knowledge and skill in those activities corresponding to his/her interests, training or which could be useful for his future. The learning objectives of the volunteer will be obtained during the volunteer service. This means that instead of having a classical frontal education, the volunteer will receive the required training "on the job" during which he/she has the possibility to realize his/her chosen activities with the help and support of the Mimosa responsible while at the same time having more and more responsibility, independence and the possibility to present personal ideas as well as to carry out small projects In addiction to the aims mentioned above, the volunteer will obtain a better knowledge of the functions of an association working with a wide range of activities such as social inclusion and support of the underprivileged, as well as its activities starting from the welcoming phase, the social and labour reintegration support, to the relation with local and partner entities.Posted by: Ivan
