Project environment
Outline the project environment for the suggested voluntary activities, including the local community where the project will take place (e.g. geographical, social and economical environment). If the host placement is located in a live-in community, please include the rules and conditions that apply also for the volunteer.
The project will take place in Bursa, which is located on the north-western Anatolia and forth biggest city of Turkey in terms of population and economic development. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey. Bursa is a very convenient city for young people. It is geographically a unique city as having the mountain and the sea at the same time. There have been many cultural and social activities and the participants will get benefit of the city.
Volunteer will mostly work in the municipal building of Osmangazi district, which is also in the city-center. It is 2 minutes walking distance from City Square and the Mall, and 2 minutes distance to Grand Bazaar by bus. We will be able to arrange a room for the volunteer in the city center, thereby he/she will have the possibilities to reach all social and cultural activities.
Volunteer will have a shared table and computer for running his/her correspondence, designing the e-bulletin and for his/her personal needs.

Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
Please explain:
" what you can offer to volunteers in terms of Service and learning opportunities,
" what will be the role of EVS volunteers in the Host Organisation,
" the activities in which the volunteers could be involved and the activities the volunteers could create in your organisation. Please give examples of typical activities for the volunteers.
EUCC is the key department for external relations within the municipality and the capacity of the center is considerably high. Thus we will be able to transmit valuable practical and theorical information to the volunteer during his/her duration. On the other hand, municipalities are not only responsible from infrastructural and architectural activities within their regions, but also social and cultural activities are under their responsibilties. Volunteer will be able to find various sources of information and have the chance to "learn in action". Personnel working in the EUCC are fluent in English so that they will assist his/her daily workload when necessary.
EVS volunteer will be considered as an equal part of the office, not as a trainee. To do list will be delivered on mondays and feedbacks will be collected on friday afternoons. Main tasks of the volunteer will be teaching English to selected personnel of the municipality, presentation of action-2 to local institutions, corrdination of communication between partner cities and preparing monthly international e-bulletin of Osmangazi Municipality. Motivation and EVS experience
Osmangazi Municipality is the unique accreditated sending and hosting organization in Bursa region of Turkey since 2007 and it is very active in international field. In order to designate the responsibilities, needs and duties and to work for the sake of EU Accession process, Osmangazi Municipality has established a EU Coordination Center within itself, which was opened in 2007 with the attendance of Mr. Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of EU Commission. The Center has applied many grants and many of their projects have been realized since today. We are also working with young people at our local and supporting Osmangazi Municipaltiy Youth Council. On the other hand the EU Coordination Center stands as the office for external relations; thus relationships between international organizations, of which the municipality is a member, are undertaken in this office as well.
The responsibility toward youngsters and other institutions is our greatest motivation. We are eager to send/host more European volunteers to/in our region and want concerned organizations to get benefit from these activities. Moreover we have been organizing many project with young people at out local and want to encourage them to take part in an EVS project.
We have been sending EVS volunteers to several European organizations, but we haven't hosted a volunteer although we have been accredidated. We are experienced on project management and belive that we will realize this project with a great success.
Description of the organisation

The Center has applied many grants and a lot of projects have been undertaken since today. So that EUCC is capable enuogh to undertake this kind of activity.
